As of Nov. 17, the second generation 44mm Apple Watch SE is on sale at Amazon for $ 219.99 — that’s a $ 59.01 price cut off its usual $ 279. With this 21% discount, it’s also the same exact price as the 40mm second-gen SE on sale. Basically, there’s no reason to not opt for the bigger watch face, unless you’re strongly opposed to the colorway — this deal is only available for the watch with the silver case and winter blue sport loop.
At the time of writing, the next best price you can get this same watch for, at Amazon or Walmart, is $ 259. Prior to this deal, the lowest price this watch had hit was just under $ 230, so it’s clear Amazon isn’t playing around this Black Friday.
The SE does without most of the fitness features you’ll find in a Series 8 or 9, like the blood oxygen sensor, ECG, and temperature sensing. You’ll also be without the always-on display.
However, if none of those are dealbreakers, you’ll get a smartwatch with the same S8 chip as the Series 8, same crash detection features, and 18-hour battery life (that’s also found on the Series 9). Considering the 41mm Series 8 typically sits around the $ 300 to $ 320 price range on sale (and occasionally can even be found at its full $ 399, despite being a generation old), grabbing a 44mm Apple Watch for just $ 219.99 it’s a pretty good deal if you just want the basics.
