Netflix will officially be axing their cheapest ad-free (aka their most affordable) subscription plan. Though there are no details on if or when this will affect U.S. users, folks in the UK and Canada will no longer be able to access the plan in the second quarter of this year.
So how to get around what is essentially a price raise for the service? Go for the deals. Though Netflix’s are rare, if you’re a Verizon customer, you’re in luck. Through +play, (which comes at no additional cost), when you buy one valid seasonal or annual subscription, you get Netflix Premium for a year, cost-free. That’s a year of Netflix’s highest plan, which usually clocks in at $ 22.99 per month. You can also bundle Netflix Premium and Starz for $ 25.99 per month, saving you $ 6.99 per month (or $ 83.88 annually).
