‘Strange Planet’ trailer turns viral absurdist comic into Apple TV+ series
The official trailer for Strange Planet is here, animating the viral absurdist comic strip that highlights the nonsensical nature of modern life.
Based on the graphic novel by Nathan W. Pyle, the 10-episode series illustrates the strange customs of a bunch of blue, bobble-headed beings — customs that bear a striking resemblance to our own. Throwing confetti at a birthday party seems like a pretty normal thing to do, until you see a blue humanoid do it while calling it “tiny trash.”
Alongside Pyle, Strange Planet is co-created and executive produced by Rick and Morty‘s Dan Harmon, and features the voices of Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Lori Tan Chinn, Danny Pudi, and Hannah Einbinder.
