Just like Amazon makes it a point to focus on its own Echo and Fire TV devices on shopping holidays, it also plugs Roomba deals heavily.

2023 marks the second Black Friday season since Amazon acquired iRobot, giving Amazon an extra reason to be the go-to spot for new record-low pricing on both older Roombas and the 2023 line. We’ve seen both of those play out already this year: The 2021 Roomba s9+ dropped from $ 999.99 to $ 499.99 during Prime Day, the phone charger-avoiding Roomba j6+ dropped from $ 799.99 to $ 499.99 the week before Black Friday, and the smartest and most powerful Roomba, the mopping Roomba Combo j9+, dropped from $ 1,399.99 to $ 999.99 the week before Black Friday as well.

Most of the early deals have only lasted for a few days so far this season, but we expect them to make a comeback soon now that Amazon’s Black Friday sale is officially in gear as of Nov. 17. We’re keeping tabs on those deals as they pop up, so be sure to check back often if you’re waiting for a specific Roomba to go on sale — because it probably will.

Our top pick

iRobot Roomba Combo j5+

$ 499 at Amazon (save $ 300.99)🔥

Why we like it

You can bring home the triple threat that is automatic emptying, mopping, and small obstacle avoidance for less than $ 500 with this deal that dropped on the first official day of Amazon’s Black Friday sale.

Compared to the Roomba j7+, the j5+’s obstacle detection cameras aren’t quite as precise, and still may require you to pick up things like towels or socks, or put a virtual barrier around pet bowls. But to be able to skip skimming the floor for rogue cords and enjoy automatic emptying for less than $ 400, you can probably deal with ensuring laundry gets into the basket. As for the mopping, this is one of iRobot’s new Swap and Mop models, which does require you to be home to physically click on the water tank when you want to mop.
