Robot vacuums under $ 200

Our pick: Shark Matrix RV2300

$ 199 at Walmart (save $ 100.99)

Why we like it

For a solid cheap Shark option, skip the outdated $ 159 Shark ION and opt for the Matrix instead. For less than $ 200, you’re securing LiDAR-powered smart home mapping and virtual boundaries, plus Matrix technology, which attacks debris from multiple angles in a crosshatch pattern to grab anything that was missed on the original pass. On top of the thorough spot cleaning, Shark claims that the Matrix packs 50% more suction power than the Roomba i3.

  • Spot cleans in a thorough grid pattern

  • 120-minute battery life

  • Schedule cleanings in the app

Robot vacuum deals under $ 500

Our pick: iRobot Roomba j7

$ 297.99 at Amazon (save $ 302)

Why we like it

First gifted to us on Valentine’s Day, the 50% off discount on one of the smartest Roombas is surprisingly still around — a deal that we’d typically only expect to see during Prime Day or Black Friday.

Even without mopping or self-emptying capabilities, the Roomba j7 is still one of the most solid Roombas — and robot vacuums in general — that you could bring home, and that’s all due to its small obstacle avoidance cameras. On top of room-to-room smart mapping, any j Series Roomba steers clear of things like phone chargers, pet waste, and socks.

  • Customizable keep-out zones

  • 120-minute battery life

  • 10 times the suction power of 600 Series Roombas

Our pick: Roborock Q5 Pro+

$ 499.99 at Amazon (save $ 200 with on-page coupon)

Why we like it

Sifting through all of the Roborock models on sale this week can get overwhelming quickly. But the deal on the solid package that is the Q5 Pro+ just feels like a steal when you say it out loud: a high-suction vacuum and mop with smart mapping and automatic emptying for less than $ 500. Though it doesn’t offer the self-washing and drying of its mopping pad like the Roborocks announced at CES do, it can vacuum and mop in the same cleaning run — something the Swap and Mop Roomba Combo models can’t say.

  • 5,500 Pa suction power

  • Customize cleaning and keep out zones in app

  • Self-emptying dock holds at least seven weeks’ worth of debris
